A "How-To" on how to be saved

So, you want to be saved.  What do you have to do to make that happen?  That's what the jailer asked of Paul and Silas:  "What must I do to be saved?"  Our tendency is to answer that question with a list or prerequisites about what I must do, what you must do. If we are "good" people, we will go to heaven, right?  But that's another one of those "un-truths" that we've been looking at in our series from Acts 16.  Join us this Sunday, Feb 19, for the truth about how we can be saved.  8:30 a.m. at WilsonHub and 10:00 a.m. at the church on Garner.  The Lord's Supper will be celebrated at both services.

Acts 16

Pastor Adam preaches this Sunday, February 12.  We are working our way through Acts 16, discovery that a lot of things that people believe about following Jesus and being a Christian, aren't in the Bible at all!

When bad things happen...

Bad things shouldn't happen to good people, right?  It's another one of those sayings that isn't in the bible.  In Acts 16:19-24, lots of really bad stuff happens to Paul and Silas.  If we look only at that text, we fail to see that there's a lot more going on.  Yes, bad things will happen to "good" people, but there's a bigger story.  Join us, Sunday, Feb 5, 8:30 am at WilsonHub or 10:00 am at the church.
